Don't forget your feet!

How do you feel about your feet? Do you ever think about your feet?!

I had a barefoot childhood - forced into shoes for school but barefoot the rest of the time. The soles of my feet were always black with dirt! I grew up feeling a bit embarrassed by my wide feet with their spaced out toes, not at all like my peers thin feet with bunched up toes and bunions - oh how jealous I was! Funny how things change isn't it? Once I started doing yoga, my 'naturally' shaped feet became beautiful! I have been working with the feet with my students over the past week and what a joy it has been to move my feet through all their natural movement patterns. Today my feet feel fantastic! It is almost as if I can feel all 26 bones and 25 joints. Yoga has taught me to love my feet and appreciate how much work they do everyday. It is a part of the body I return to again and again in my self practice and classes - if you are interested in getting to know your feet, join one of my classes - your feet will thank you!
